Like most start-up partnerships, 91BC was founded by friends. Doug MacSween and Scott Ferguson met whist studying in Glasgow in 1991 and have maintained a strong friendship ever since. In recent years, Doug and Scott have managed many complete renovations and had more than a few heated debates with factors along the way. Common sense told them that the right idea was to build a team from their extensive network of contractors and launch a modern, effective property management service. From that "lightbulb" moment, 91BC Property Services Ltd was born.

Doug is Commercial Director of 91BC Property Services. His key responsibilities are to manage the administrative, financial, legal, compliance, marketing and communications, and partnerships aspects of the business. After a successful career in industry culminating in several senior leadership roles, Doug formed 91BC Property Services with Scott to complement their existing property development business, also called 91BC.

Scott Ferguson

Technical Director and founding partner

Scott is Technical Director and manages our network of contracted suppliers. He is also responsible for managing the completion of all ongoing works, projects and ad-hoc repairs to our customer's properties. His strengths lie in his knowledge of construction/renovation methods and the associated costs. He has extensive experience of overseeing multi trade workforces and limiting problems through careful planning and proper scheduling.

IT Director and partner

Craig is our IT director and is responsible for our web site and our Community portal. Security of our customer data is his top priority and he ensures that we only process and store the minimum required to run our portal. He drives our risk and issue management and also maintains our business continuity plan. He has over 20 years’ experience in the IT sector managing teams that deliver technology projects and support services.

Katy has over 20 years experience in client-facing roles, encompassing several industries. Her team's responsibility is to deliver best-in-class service to our customers, ensuring that a visit to a property is maximised while trades or the 91BC mobile repairs team are on-site.

Paul Callander

Project Manager

Having over ten years’ experience in commercial property, Paul heads up the major projects team at 91BC. His primary responsibility is in the planning and delivery of major works, liaising with customers, contractors and service providers to ensure that projects are delivered on time and signed off to specification.

Alvaro McIntosh

Senior Financial Controller

Alvaro has responsibility for our finance function, payment processes, credit control, and internal accountancy practices at 91BC. A graduate in Real Estate Management from Heriot Watt University, and in Accounting and Finance from Edinburgh Napier University, his priorities are to ensure the safe and accurate processing of our customer transactions and the accurate reporting of cost.

Susan Douglas

Client Services Executive

Susan works with Katy, ensuring that proactive maintenance is being carried out before faults get reported. She is responsible for the daily scheduling and monitoring of works across both our internal and contracted teams. She will check contractors are attending when they said they would and ensures that their time is optimised resulting in delivery of best value across all trades.

Assistant Finance Controller

Francesco is responsible for the onboarding of new customers, land registry process, coordination and qualification of communal buildings insurance and associated administration to allow us to launch services on time and ready to deliver. Francesco is also our data marshall, with responsibility for the accurate upkeep of client and contractor information in compliance with GDPR regulations.

Client Services Executive

Chiara is newest member of our growing team, joining us in 2019. She works with Katy and Susan within our client services team. She deals with updating customer invoices when works are completed and validates any automated charging of services that we have in place. She is across the customer facing work Katy and Susan do and can step in as required should either of them be unavailable.

Repairs and Maintenance Foreman

Ian is responsible for delivery of routine and adhoc maintenance services. He is certified in a variety of disciplines and of course is adequately insured to conduct works at your property. He has 30 years’ experience in buildings management and repair and if there is a tool needed for a job, Ian will have it. He also knows his way around a roll and square.
